About Blinx

Blinx is an online service that allows you to quickly and easily access GP services. Answer a few simple questions and Blinx will get you the help you need. Blinx is only available during surgery hours.

Urgent appointments:

Monday to Friday

  • If you need medical advice or treatment, please access online services above and complete the relevant Blinx Paco Health Form (if this option is available at the time).
  • Phone our reception team on 0151 2953888 Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm (Excluding Bank Holidays)
  • Visit the Practice and speak with a member of our reception team, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm

Evenings and Weekends

  • If you need urgent help or advice, particularly during evenings and weekends when the practice is closed, please contact NHS 111. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 111.nhs.uk or by dialling 111.
  • NHS 111 is staffed by fully trained advisors and clinicians who can provide over the phone advice and can arrange face to face appointments with an out of hours GP, at a local walk-in centre, or a local hospital A&E department if required.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine appointments:

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • If you need medical advice or treatment, please access online services above and complete a health form (if this option is available at the time). You may also call our reception team between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm on weekdays (excluding bank holidays).
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book an available appointment.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

About your appointment

When you contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery
  • On a video call
  • By online consultation

Appointments by phone, video call or online consultation can be more flexible. This means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner. Read more about our appointment triage system.

Important: If you have to cancel your appointment

Please tell us if you need to cancel your appointment and give us as much notice as possible. This means we can offer your appointment to another patient.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system – Blinx Paco
  • phone us on 0151 2953888 Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to see. We will do our best to organise that but it won't always be possible.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face or video call.
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Home Visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the surgery as soon possible 8am to 6.30pm Monday - Friday
